The squad for the tournament was:

The first match was against the Dunkers and the team was still getting their tactics and positions sorted out. Connor got a consolation basket but unfortunately the Wizards were the wrong side of an 18-2 scoreline.

 

 

Ross, Kelly, D’Vante, Connor and Hollie were the starting line up as again the Wizards conceded an early basket.  There was an injury to one of the Hawks that took awhile while to sort but straight after the restart Ross equaled the scores.

 

Hawks replied quickly but the Wizards were not going to give in easily and George came on and got a basket to again even the scores.

 

The Hawks took the lead again but Ross got his second basket to make it 6-6.

 

Another quick basket gave the Hawks a 8-6 lead and they managed to hang on to for the final 3 minutes. 

 

 

The Wizards were now into their stride and the starting line up was Connor, Ross, Joe, D’Vante and Jacob.  Within 2 minutes Connor had given the Wizards a 2-0 lead.  The Hornets then equalized straight away.  From then on there was 5 minutes of end to end action as both teams tried to find the basket.  Unluckily it was in the 7^th minute that the Hornets took the lead but one of the baskets of the tournament by Hollie who had come on as a substitute made the scores level again.

 

The final 2 minutes was frantic as they both tried to get victory but in the end they shared the spoils at 4-4.

 

 

The uncertainty of where the game was going to played must have upset the Wizards rhythm as the Harriers quickly piled on the points and within minutes were 14-0 up.  The end result was 26-4 to the Harriers.
