Wizards 0 V’s Hornets 26
A tough game to start, everybody was trying to find their feet but unfortunately The Wizards were on the wrong end of a 26 – 0 scoreline.
Wizards 8 V’s Hatters 18
The Wizards came out strong against the Hatters, with some good defending from all and a more positive offence. Three baskets from George and one from Nathaniel kept the score respectable. The Wizards played a very good game against a more experienced Hatters team.
Wizards 2 V’s Hawks 10
One basket from George stopped a shut out against the Hawks.
Wizards 6 V’s Harriers 10
Another close game and with some good defending from everyone kept the score low. Baskets from Conner, George and Nathaniel gave us our closest game yet.
Wizards 6 V’s Birkdale 10
Birkdale were six points in front when new guy Bradley scored his first basket in the competition. The Wizards then started a very impressive fight back and two baskets from George tied the game. Birkdale responded with a basket and then another on the final whistle to give them a 10 – 6 win.
Another competition over and the Wizards put up a good performance. They worked well together in the last few games and the scores reflected this.
