The following played in the CVL competition on Sunday,

There were four new faces, Nathan, Wesley, Matt and Liam and two regulars in George and Ross.
Wizards Vs Hatters 6-18
The first game of the season was against the hatters and George won the tip. There was some pretty good defending from all the players and 2 baskets for George and 1 for Liam gave us 6 points. A good interception by Ross half way through the game kept the lads in it but the experience of the Hatters shone through and they won 18-6.
Wizards Vs Hawks 4-8
Another close game with Nathanial scoring 1 basket and Matt scoring the other in a 4 - 8 defeat. Once again the defending was good by all and a good rebound by Wesley kept the score respectable.
Wizards Vs Hornets 10-10
Another tip off won by George and some good defending again kept it tight. The hornets then scored 4 baskets putting them 8-0 ahead. A good fight back by the Wizards with 3 baskets from Nathanial 1 from George and 1 from Liam put us in the lead. The Hornets then scored to draw the match at 10 - 10.
Wizards Vs Hatters 4-10
The score was 4 - 10 with Nathanial scoring both baskets.
Wizards Vs Hawks 8-6
Again some good offence and defence from the Wizards gave them the first win. 1 basket from Nathanial, 1 From Liam, 1 from Ross and 1 from Wesley gave the score of 8 - 6.
Wizards Vs Hornets 8-24
With only one ten minute break between the games the guys were starting to tire. The score was 8 - 24 with baskets from Nathanial and Ross.
Wizards Vs Hatters 4-8
The final game and with tired legs the lads gave 100% 1 basket from George and 1 from Nathanial gave a score of 4 - 8 to the Hatters.
For a team that more than half of the players are in the first competition for the Wizards the coaches were very proud of everyone of them. They gave 100% in every game and kept the scores respectable with one win under our belts.
